Introduction:
Live Your Life by T.I. and Rihanna is about the economy and how it is impacting the U.S. It was released in 2008, and was written by T.I. and his producers. I chose this song because it tells us that the economy and all of the things happening in the U.S. is really impacting people in a negative way, and we all impact the economy with our actions and our choices.

I feel that the point that the artists are trying to make based on the lyrics of the song is one of many other issues the artists address. I feel that the economy is mentioned in the lyrics because it ties into many other things the artists are trying to convey. I also believe that the lyrics are stating that people are not helping the economy by doing things like going into debt.
Some of the lyrics relate to some of facts that were found in the research because they are talking about the 9/11 attacks and the soldiers that are in Iraq because we decided to go to war. Also, the lyrics mention that the people are not helping the economy because they are going into debt for things that they want, not what they need.
Artists’ Bio- T.I:
T.I. and his producers wrote the song Live your Life to be included in his album Paper Trail. T.I. is very active in helping the community, particularly with the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, worked with troubled youths at Paulding Detention Center in Atlanta (where he is from), and providing scholarships to single parent families at Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
T.I. wrote the song to let people know what he thinks about people in general. To him, the song was about not focusing on other’s mistakes or luxuries, but instead focusing on your own problems and luxuries.

I feel that the point that the artists are trying to make based on the lyrics of the song is one of many other issues the artists address. Opinion-
I believe that the song Live your Life by T.I., Featuring Rihanna is not only about the economy, but also about war and many other issues. I learned that there are many things that could impact our economy, and our actions and decisions impact the economy, and also many other things, more than we think they do.
Because this song was written in 2008, not many changes have happened between then and now. I would suggest that banks find a way to stop all cash flow to people who are in debt, and they have to pay off their debt before they can buy any purchases that would put them in much more debt.
